In Windows, you should be able to hear music, sound effects, and voice-over in this product. If you cannot hear the music, you need to make sure that the [MCI] CD Audio driver has been loaded into your system. To do this, go to Program Manager and double-click on Control Panel in Main. Double-click on Drivers and double-click on MCI CD Audio. If the driver is already installed, you will see a window entitled Redbook CD Audio Configuration which says ╥One CD-ROM driver was found and the driver was installed.╙
If the driver is NOT installed, double-click on Drivers. Now click on the Add button. Scroll down the list of drivers to [MCI] CD Audio. Double-click on that driver, which will highlight it. You will be asked to insert the Windows disk that contains this driver. Please follow these instructions. When you have done this, you should see a message that says ╥One CD-ROM driver was found and the driver was installed.╙
Overview
Thank you for using the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers¬ Print Kit. We have provided this README file for your quick reference, but we encourage you to read the manual for more information.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers¬ Print Kit lets you print various personalized items such as banners, greeting cards, calendars, and so on. The program uses a simple and intuitive point-and-click system for selecting projects and line art from the clip art library of characters and objects from the Power Rangers¬ universe.
The program has two main sections:
SELECTING A PROJECT: This screen allows you to select from 17 different projects.
Selecting a project is easy. Simply pass your mouse over the icons on the page until you find the project you want, then click. If Balloon Help is activated, it will identify the project you selected.
Notepad: The notepad prints an image and a text on one 8-1/2x11╙ piece of paper.
Envelope: This project prints on a standard #10 non-window business envelope. It has spaces for your return address, an image, and the address of the person to whom you are sending it. It is not necessary to fill up the text fields. You select the envelope as an option in your system printer menu. Please note that some printers do not offer envelopes as a printing option so check your printer╒s page setup before trying to do this project.
Greeting Card: The Greeting Card has two work areas: the outside cover and the inside. You can toggle between them by clicking on the icon on the lower left-hand side of the screen -- the one that looks like two pieces of paper, one on top of the other. Remember to Preview your project before printing it.
Disk Labels: This project prints labels for 3.5╙ diskettes on standard stock that you can get at your local stationery store. Hint: Type ╥Disk [leave several spaces] of [leave several spaces]╙ so that you can write in the disk number after you have printed. You will get nine labels per page.
Name Tag: This project prints eight identical name tags with images and/or text. Don╒t forget to leave enough room for guests to write their name! You can print these on standard laser printer name tags from your local stationery store.
Diary: The diary prints out a page with areas for you to customize with your name and an image. Today╒s date will print automatically.
Postcard: This project prints a 4x5 post card with areas for your return address, an image, and the address of the person to whom you are writing. If you don╒t use pre-cut postcard for a laser printer, make sure the paper you use is heavy enough to go through the mail. Basically, the program prints four of them on a sheet of paper.
Place Card: After printing this project, fold it in half lengthwise so it can ╥stand up╙ on the table to show guests where to sit.
Business Card: This project prints many business cards per page. Use scissors to cut out your cards unless you are using laser cut stock which is already perforated. Try experimenting with different kinds of card stock, but remember that different printers accept different weights of paper. You can also use standard laser-cut business card stock from the stationery store.
Placemat: This prints out an 8-1/2 x 11 placemat that you can personalize.
Calendar: The calendar automatically prints the current month and year, but you can change it to any year between 1904 and 2040 by clicking on the date. Note: if you select New while in the calendar and choose a new date, the date you chose will appear in the Preview. Remember to double-check the Preview in case a long word, like Wednesday, appears on two lines; if this happens, you will need to reduce the font size in the Font selection area of the program.
Coloring Page: This project uses artwork only, so text placement and editing isn╒t available here.
Bookmark: Basically, you can print three bookmarks per page.
Poster: You can design this 8-1/2 x 11 project for a variety of uses, including your bedroom door, the inside of your locker, the front of a notebook..... use your imagination!
Letterhead: Design your own stationery, complete with your return address and even a border!
Banner: Here╒s your chance to celebrate special occasions or welcome new friends. Your banner can be up to 1000 characters long.
Invitation: Don╒t forget to put the important information (date, time, address.....) on the inside!!
Editing a Project
This is the heart of the Print Kit. On this screen you can edit almost every part of your selected project.
Using the Menu Bar
FILE
New: Removes the default text and images, giving you a clean work space in the project you have selected.
Load: Use this function to load a previously-saved project.
Save: Use this option to save your work. The program will automatically attach the correct file extension for your project. Please note that you cannot save from the Project Selection Screen.
Print Setup: You can select a printer from those installed on your system or you can change printer configurations. Please refer to your system manual for help with this option.
Exit: Click here when you╒re ready to leave the program.
OPTIONS
Balloon Help: Click here to enable Balloon Help text; a small checkmark will appear to the left of the words to indicate that this function has been activated. When Balloon Help on, little text boxes will appear as you pass your mouse over the icons and functional areas.
SOUND:
Settings: You can test and adjust the music, the voice-over and effects, and volume of Balloon Help speech.
Note: These toggles will affect your system sound, so if you turn something down in this program, volume in other applications will also be lowered.
